Join a small English-speaking group with guides such as Juan, Alex, or Diego for a four-hour jungle hike from Puerto Vallarta. Ride public transport, cross shallow streams, learn about local plants and wildlife, swim beneath Palo Maria Falls, and climb to a bay lookout.

“The hike was amazing and my adult kids had a great time! However, this hike is NOT for someone with any knee issues. The guide is there to get you through the trail and to the waterfall, but not through the terrain. If it was not for my son, I would have not have made it through all the rocks we had to climb”

3.4-Hour Jungle Hike and Waterfall Swim

★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 163 reviews · 4 hours · from $30Best value

Meet your English or Spanish speaking guide near the OXXO, ride a local bus south, then follow a rocky river trail through Puerto Vallarta’s tropical forest. Guides such as Juan, Alex, Diego, and Rocco point out plants and wildlife before you swim at a waterfall and choose a steeper route to higher falls and a bay lookout.

“Well worth the money. Rocco was a very informative guide, with a wide knowledge of the area, plants, and wildlife. The hike wasn’t difficult for anybody able bodied. A bit rocky and stepping across stones to get across the river. We had elder aged people and younger and everyone made it through just fine. The water was refreshing, the cliff jumping was fun and the waterfall was lovely. Highly recommend for a nice morning into early afternoon.”

“This was so much fun, we had the time of our life. Curiel is such a great person, very knowledgeable, we learned so much about nature, birds, insects, animals. We felt extremely safe from start to finish. My personal recommendation is to wear hiking shoes, the right shoes will make a big difference. The Waterfalls are breathtaking. A most do activity and most do it with Curiel @curielxperience. Great human, super fun!!! Ps. The breakfast was delicious 😋”
