Ride a 4x4 from Tbilisi into Georgia’s semi-desert with guides such as Koba, Salomea, Nini, or Alex. Hike the colorful hills by Mravaltskaro Lake, visit St. John and David Gareji monasteries, stop for Georgian food in Udabno, and add wine tasting on private tours.

“I would highly recommend joining this tour. I had so much fun hiking the rainbow mountains and visiting the monasteries, plus the super cool hidden gems. Our tour guide, Salome, and the driver were super nice and friendly. Salome was super chill and not in a rush, following our hiking speed and giving us time to take pictures. He was also generous to give us some gifts by the end of the trip.”

2.David Gareji and Real Rainbow Mountains Off-Road adventure + hike

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 129 reviews · 9 to 11 hours (approx.) · from $51Top rated

Spend 9 to 11 hours with an English-speaking guide such as Alex, Koba, or Salomea, driving a 4x4 from Tbilisi through Rustavi and Kakheti. Hike the Rainbow Mountains, visit Natlismtsemeli and David Gareji monasteries, eat Georgian food in Udabno, and finish with wine tasting near Patardzeuli.

“What a tour. The itinerary was perfect; started with a coffee/breakfast stop, before off-roading, a short hike and then the visits. Lunch and the wine tasting were a great end to this trip. It was rather gloomy during our trip but the colours were still striking. Alex was a great guide who ensured all our questions were answered and our needs met. Also, definitely recommend this as I believe it is the only, or one of the few, that lets you get up close and personal with the mountains.”
